Employment opportunities with ADF Programs are posted on this page whenever there are openings.

ADF is constantly looking for experts relevant to the organization's program areas and with extensive training and technical assistance experience with civil society organizations in countries where ADF has field operations. Foreign language skills especially in French, Haitian Creole, Arabic, and Serbo-Croatian are highly desirable.

CHIEF OF PARTY CANDIDATES

ADF is actively seeking applications for Chief of Party candidates for two programs in Kosovo: (1) Youth Reconciliation and (2) Civil Society Strengthening Program in Kosovo. The youth reconciliation program aims to help youth engage in their personal future, lead youth to feel economically and politically secure, improve employment skills and inter-ethic relationships. The Civil Society Strengthening program aims to strengthen civil society’s ability to advocate for policy reform, engage civil society in monitoring the implementation of reforms passed by the new Kosovar government, and strengthen relationships between government and civil society. A special component of the program would reach out to Kosovo Serb civil society organizations and strengthen their capacity to effectively represent and advocate for the interests of their communities.

Ideal candidates would possess the following skills and experience:

Masters Degree in social sciences, international development, political science, or other related field;
Relevant professional experience managing and implementing successful large multi-year development projects in the area of youth, civil society and Civil Society Organization (CSO) development;
Relevant professional experience in Central and Eastern European or other transitional countries; Demonstrated understanding of conflict in former Yugoslavia (1991-2008) an advantage;
Demonstrated understanding of youth and/or CSOs in the broader region, including enabling environment, CSO legal framework and role of intermediary support organizations, advocacy, financial and organizational sustainability;
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities dealing with CSO development;
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage local staff;
